Caring Cards Project with Volunteer Broward

From all of us at America's Leaders, we would like to thank everyone for a wonderful day at the Broward Outreach Center (BOC) in Pompano Beach.  We made over 700 cards including over 225 birthday cards that will be given out to the residents at the BOC Homeless Shelter.  Thank you for your time and making a difference with us!

Disney - Caring Cards Project on April 11th is Full

We would like to thank everyone for signing up for our Disney's Give A Day Get A Day project - Caring Cards on April 11th at the Broward Outreach Center in Pompano.  Currently, the program is full as the Disney program is now complete.

Thank you again and we look forward to making cards with all of you on April 11th!

Make Cards with us for FREE DISNEY Passes on April 11th!

America's Leaders is proud to announce that we are partnering with Volunteer Broward and the Hands on Network to participate in Disney's "Give A Day, Get A Day" Program.   We would like to invite all of our cheerleaders, their families and friends to join us for a morning of making cards for families in need in our communtiy.

There are 3 time slots available and you can register up to 6 members per family, beginning at 6 years of age.  Once you have completed your cards, Disney will email you your FREE Park certificates.  The details are as follows:

Date:  Sunday, April 11, 2010

Place:  Broward Outreach Center in Pompano

Times to choose from:  8:30, 9:30 or 10:30

Project Title:  Caring Cards at BOC

What to Wear:  Please wear your cheerleding uniform.  If you do not have one, please wear your school t-shirt.

What to Bring:  Please bring a $15 gift card, per person, from Publix or Target with the receipt to help displaced families in our community.

FREE Disney Park Passes!

Have you heard about Disney's Give a Day, Get a Day?  Well, all you have to do is click on the link below, and sign up to volunteer for a project in your area and then you will receive your free Disney park pass.  Registration is now open.  Remember, you do not have to complete your volunteer project immediately, just register with the site for something in the next wext few months.

Here is some additional information:

When can volunteers start signing up for projects and where?

Volunteers can search for and registering for volunteer opportunities starting Jan 1, 2010. They register through www.disneyparks.com.

Volunteers must pre-register and sign up for eligible volunteer opportunities at DisneyParks.com. If they don’t follow this process they will not be eligible to receive a certificate.

How many tickets are available?

Ticket quantities for this program are limited to 1 million – when you confirm that you are signed-up for a volunteer project, this does reserve you a certificate, but if you do not participate, you will not receive a certificate.

How old does a participant have to be?

Volunteers must be at least age 6 to participate.
